I was given a Kodak Instamatic when I was about 10 and have had a camera ever since. I do not believe in doing a lot of post production work, instead believing the image should be able to stand on it's own once the shutter has been released. Some call it old school, some call it purist, but it is just the way I like to practice my photography.

A photograph to me is an image showing the effect of light and shadow on an object. I spend a lot of time observing how light and shadow change as I look at things from different perspectives, always trying to visualize the final image in my mind. I may go back several times to get the right light or to rephotograph an image at at different angle. Sometimes I just sit and watch the light and shadow interact and change knowing I can never get the image I want or capture the beauty of the moment.
